classic and readable

Very happy with the managable size, readable type, and organization. It's about the size of a "gift edition" Bible, and will fit such a bible carrying case.
This is a classic siddur, in that it is not rewritten to reflect liberal "reform" or feminist theology. It has clear Hebrew and English lettering, and goes in the usual left to right order.
It is also uncluttered by rabbinical footnoting, commentaries or other intrusive "helps" that afflict some study/prayer manuals.
For Hebrew Christians/Messianic Jews it is a good resource for learning the traditional weekly, sabbath, and holyday prayers. For pro-Israel people, likewise, and it will give insight into Jewish traditions and worldview. Prayer is at the heart of this people. One cannot understand them without knowing something accurate about what they believe or what they value. Torah and G-d are the utmost loved.
Yes, it's relevant to modern Christians - where did we come from if not Judaism? What was our savior, if not an observant Jew? Who is our God, if not the God of Israel, as well as the apostles? Since He doesn't change, why would he be unhappy with Hebrew prayers? All Christians are Jewish by adoption anyhow. :-)
For lazy believers, it helps give structure to prayer and overcome the "I don't know what to say" excuse that inhibits regular prayer. NO, NO, no, it is NOT "rote prayer" like Catholic Hail Marys. One may choose from any section, or read each section through as desired. The point is to make praising G-d a way of life and let our prayer life take off from there.
Highly recommend this as a addition to anyone's personal faith library or scholarly collection of religious studies.

Great Prayer Book

It was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a traditional prayer book with both the English and Hebrew prayers that was large enough for me to read comfortably small enough for travel. This one is just right.

Purchased merely to have my own copy

This is the siddur my synagogue uses, and I wanted to have my own personal copy at home. Not the worse siddur I've seen, but many of the translations and ridgid loyalty to old language leaves me wanting something better. My hope is to one day be a part of a congregation that uses more modern siddurs that has a good blend of tradition but made for the minds and addresses the needs of the 21 century (without being overly left-wing).
