Michael W. Bowers is professor of political science and public law, and former Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Executive Vice President and Provost, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. required reading for UNLV PSC course

If your professor requires this book I 100% recommend you buy it and read every chapter. It's an easy read and you'll pass with an A for sure.

Essential for PSC 100 at UNLV

In a world filled with ridiculously overpriced college textbooks, this one is actually worth every penny! I used it for the online PSC 100 course at UNLV and most of the quiz and final questions were based on material in this text. The index in the back makes it easy to quickly find keywords for the quizzes and finals. I personally think political science/government is a boring subject but it's a required credit at UNLV. When I saw the amount of reading required on the syllabus I shrieked, but the book is pretty interesting! Buy the book here, screw the bookstore!

Great book on Nevada

Great book giving a history of Nevada. It is not overly long winded, is sectioned off for easy future reference as well. The second half of the book is the entire state constitution.
