Excellent book

This is a truly wonderful book, richly researched and deeply thorough without overwhelming the reader. This is a history that helps us understand past struggles to protect this important mountain range and provides hope for even more protection. After you read it, you will remember the Mono Lake Committee and perhaps you will also envision the restoration of Hetch Hetchy Valley. Everyone who lives in California or plans to visit the Sierras, with an eye toward nature and our place in it, should read this book.
