History and genealogical resource for Civil War buffs.

One of my ancestors was a member of the 122nd NY Volunteers during the Civil War, perishing at the battle of Winchester, VA on September 19, 1864 so this book has special meaning to me and my family. The book contains a regimental list giving the name, age on enlistment, date of enlistment, company, rank, date of discharge or death, and remarks for each member of the regiment, an important genealogical resource. This book tells of the regiment's battles and campaigns from a soldier's viewpoint and the 22 wonderful drawings contained in it are a great help to readers' imaginations. I was so impressed with this book that I have purchased an additional copy for a cousin who I know will enjoy reading it.
